Police: Bicyclist Robbed on W&OD Trail

Victim, 31, had bicycle and jewelry taken in incident.

A 31-year-old man riding his bicycle on the W&OD Trail Tuesday evening was surprised by two men who approached him demanding his property. The men fled with the victim's bicycle and jewelry. The victim was not harmed in the incident.

Fairfax County Police spokesman Eddy Azcarate stated that police do not know where on the trail the robbery occurred.

Azcarate also said police have descriptions of the two suspects in the case. The first suspect was described as a male in his 20s with black hair and brown eyes. He is said to have been somewhere between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 in height, weighing approximately 180 pounds.

The second suspect was also described as a man in his 20s. He was said to be between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4 in height, weighing approximately 210 pounds.
