Police: Dog in Vienna Attacks and Kills Another Dog

A Vienna resident reported that a neighbor’s dog had jumped the fence separating their properties on the 100 block of Moore Avenue SW and attacked her dog.

The resident’s dog suffered severe injuries and was unable to survive the attack, police said.

Police responded to the report Tuesday and told the owners of the attacking dog that a hearing would be held to determine if the dog is “dangerous.”

Until the hearing, the owners have been ordered to confine the dog and secure it at all times when outside.
