The following reports are from the Vienna Police Department.
On September 5, a resident in the 100 block of Ayr Hill Ave SW reported that her neighbor had been feeding birds and the birds had been defecating on her house as they flew over. The Vienna Police Department did not find any violations of law.
In another unusual case, on September 7, a citizen at the intersection of Marshall Road at Rachel Lane SW reported that a suspicious person had been asleep under a tree in a bed of mulch. Police arrested and charged Victor Lopez Guillen, 36, of no fixed address for being drunk in public. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was held until he sobered up.
On September 8, a resident of the 200 block of Prescott Circle SE reported she had found a dead raccoon in her backyard. The resident said her dogs had been in the backyard, but she was unsure whether the dogs were in contact with the raccoon. Police transported the raccoon to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter to be tested for rabies and told the resident she needed to quarantine her dogs until the test results were in.
On September 9, a resident in the 200 block of Nutley Street SW reported that someone took the year stickers from her license plates on her vehicle.
Sometime between September 9 and September 11, a resident of the 100 block of Locust St. SW reported that someone took an air conditioning unit from his residence that is currently under construction. The case is being investigated.
