UPDATE: Police Release Surveillance Photos of Tuesday Bank Robbery

Woman who allegedly held a driver at knife-point Saturday may also be connected to Prince William County robbery and bank robbery

Update, 12:13 p.m. Nov. 23:

Police released three photos from surveillance footage that capture a woman robbing the BB&T Bank in West Springfield on Tuesday.

Stephanie Lynn Schwab, 26, of Manassas, is also considered a suspect in a Tysons Corner area carjacking.

Nov. 22 Update:

Fairfax County Police said Tuesday night they were investigating a robbery of the BB&T Bank in West Springfield earlier in the day that could be connected to the recent carjacking in Tysons Corner.

Police said they believe the suspect is Stephanie Lynn Schwab, 26, of the Manassas area. They've searched for Schwab for days as they have connected her to a bank robbery in Prince William County and a carjacking in the McLean area over the weekend.

In Tuesday's case, the suspect entered the bank around 1 p.m., implied she had a weapon and demanded money from the teller. She left with an undisclosed amount of cash and there were no injuries, police said.

The woman Fairfax County detectives believe held a driver at knife-point in Tysons Corner on Saturday could also be connected to a recent bank robbery in Prince William County.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Stephanie Lynn Schawb, 26, of the Manassas area for carjacking in connection with a report of a good samaritan

A 59-year-old Fairfax woman said she was approached in the Tyson’s Galleria parking lot of Neiman Marcus by a young woman who claimed she was out of gas and needed a ride to a station, police said.The victim invited the woman into her vehicle but as she drove toward Route 123 the suspect produced a knife and told the driver to get out of the vehicle. The victim was left at the intersection of Old Courthouse Road and Route 123, police said.

Schwab is also wanted in Prince William County for a bank robbery that occurred on Friday, detectives said.

Fairfax County police ask the public continue to be on the lookout for Schwab, and the stolen 2003 silver Acura, Virginia tag XEK8095.
