Female victim recovering after alleged assault, police say
Police are searching for a driver who allegedly hit a woman with a car and fled, leaving her unconscious at the scene.
The driver is someone known to the woman, police said.
Around 11:48 p.m. April 13, police responded for a reported assault near the Elks Lodge at 250 Nutley Street NW.

Police found an unconscious 32-year-old woman who had been hit by a vehicle. Fairfax County EMS responded to treat the woman and take her to a local hospital. She is expected to fully recover.
