Police Log: Cash Register Stolen from Swim Club

The following arrest information was supplied by the Vienna Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A cash register has been stolen from a Vienna swim club, according to the latest Vienna Police log. 

An employee advised a cash register had been stolen from the Vienna Woods Swim Club office between 9 p.m. Aug. 6 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7.

This case is being investigated.

A resident reported a male individual was knocking on doors in the area at 11:57 p.m. Aug. 6.

Daniel Wilson, 48, of Hillcrest Drive SW was arrested for drunk in public.

Wilson was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was to be held until he was sober.

Other highlights from the Vienna Police Department Log, Aug. 3 to Aug. 9:

  • A resident reported at 10:10 p.m. Aug. 5 that she and her mother had been involved in a heated argument. Both parties advised the argument never turned physical. The daughter left the residence to stay with a friend until the situation at home calmed down.
  • A resident reported at 3:18 p.m. Aug. 6 that his daughter had spray painted the molding around a window and a window blind pink in a room she used as an office. The father advised his daughter did not have permission to make any alterations to the room. The father did not want to pursue charges.
  • A Town employee reported at 3:44 p.m. Aug. 6 a juvenile had been causing problems at the Community Center for several weeks. The juvenile was asked to leave but he refused. He was then trespassed for the remainder of the day. The juvenile's father was contacted and advised of the problems. The employee said the juvenile would be permitted to return after a meeting with the father and son.
  • A citizen turned in two keys she found in the creek near East Street and Creek Crossing Road NE at 4 p.m. Aug. 6. The keys were placed into property until the owner can be identified.
  • A citizen reported a bicycle was found in the bushes on the W&OD trail. A few hours later, the owner of the bicycle reporter her bike had been stolen. MPO Shaw determined the found bicycle was in fact the same one reported as stolen. The bicycle was returned to its owner.
  • A resident reported there were people acting suspciously on the 1000 block of Hillcrest Drive SW at 10:10 p.m. Aug. 6. The resident advised they were hanging around a silver vehicle. PFC Myers located the individuals who advised they would leave the area.
  • A resident called the police at 6:17 p.m. Aug. 7 because her mother and brother were fighting. Officer Tracy responded and determined the argument had not turned physical. The brother agreed to spend the night at a friend's house.
  • A citizen reported at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8 he had seen a young chlid striking a puppy, making him concerned about its welfare. ACO Barker contacted the puppy's owners and determined there was no animal abuse occurring.
  • A citizen dropped off a white shi tzu at the station at 6:35 p.m. Aug. 8 after it was found running loose in the area. It did not have any identification. Officer Vazquez took the dog to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter where it will be held until the owners can be identified.
  • An employee of Noodles & Company at 201 Maple Ave. E reported at 8:38 p.m. Aug. 8 there was money missing from the cash register. MPO Seitz interviewed employees and discovered an incident involving two customers receiving too much change after paying with cash. This case is being investigated.
  • A resident reported at 8:55 p.m. Aug. 8 that a roommate pushed her as he walked by her in the living room. Officer Vazquez explained the warrant process to the woman.
  • Sgt. Taylor conducted a traffic stop at 11:55 p.m. Aug. 8 on the 600 block of Orrin Street SE. He detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver was determined to be a juvenile. Sgt. Taylor searched the vehicle and located suspected marijuana inside a bag. The juvenile was released to his mother.
  • Officer Tremont conducted a traffic stop at 1:35 p.m. Aug. 9. Upon interacting with the driver he detected signs of impairment. After the driver attempted several sobriety tests, Officer Tremont arrested Mr. Yale Eisenman, 55, of Moorland Lane in Bethesda, Md., for driving while intoxicated (drugs). Yale was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where his blood was drawn for analysis. He was set to be released on a $1,000 bond once he became sober.
