Police: Man Arrested After Traveling to Tysons to Have Sex With Minor

By William Callahan
Manassas police say they arrested a man Thursday after he traveled to Tysons Corner thinking he would have sex with a minor.

NBC Washington reports that Diego Vincente Acevedo, 29, of Washington, D.C., had arranged to meet a minor in order to have sex, but he had actually been talking to an undercover police officer. He was arrested at an Embassy Suites Hotel.

The Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Virginia State Police and the FBI all helped with the investigation, which took a month.
