Police Seek Fugitive After Tysons Footchase

A man wanted for multiple felonies across several Washington area jurisdictions escaped Fairfax County police officers at Tysons Corner Mall on Saturday, prompting the agency to ask residents for information and offer a reward for help.

Officers have characterized the fugitive, Todd Michael Corrado, 39, as "armed and dangerous," according to a statement released by the department Monday.

Corrado was spotted browsing the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the mall around 12:30 p.m. Saturday by the Fairfax County Police Fugitive Unit, prompting a footchase through the mall and eventually an upper level parking garage.

It ended near the loading docks near a service entrance, police said, where Corrado escaped.

Warrants from multiple jurisdictions have been issued for Corrado's arrest, charging him with felony larceny, felony speed to elude, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, driving while intoxicated, burglary, auto theft and numerous drug charges, among others.

Corrado is described as a white man with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and between 160 and 180 pounds.  

Police say he is often seen around Tysons Corner, Annandale and Alexandria.
