Suspect Arrested in Friday's Suspicious Death

Gainesville man charged with murder after man found dead in car in Vienna.

A Gainesville man was charged Saturday in the apparent murder of a man found dead in a car Friday off Chain Bridge Road in Vienna.

Johnny E. Bonilla, 22, of Gainesville, was located at his home around 4 p.m. Saturday by the U.S. Marshals Service and Prince William County and Fairfax County police officers. He was charged with murder.

Police said in a statement Saturday night they believe Bonilla and the 19-year-old victim, Zavier O. Stringfellow, 19, of the Manassas area, had planned to meet up Friday night.

They met, police said, but there was allegedly a struggle during which Stringfellow was stabbed.

Officers found Stringfellow dead around 7 p.m. Friday in a car on an access road off of Chain Bridge Road near Glengyle Drive.

Police said it does not appear Bonilla and Stringfellow knew each other before the incident.
