Vienna House Fire Causes $100,000 in Damage

Firefighters responded to a house fire that engulfed a vacant residence at 200 Mashie Drive SE in Vienna Friday, July 11.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a house fire Friday at the 200 Mashie Drive SE area in Vienna.

Firefighters arrived and found smoke and fire coming from the front of the vacant split-level home at approximately 8:10 a.m. Firefighters aggressively fought the blaze and brought it under control within 10 minutes. 

No one was injured or displaced, as officials say the home was vacant. Smoke alarms were present but did not sound when firefighters arrived. Damage is estimated at $100,000. The fire is currently under investigation.
