Vienna Police Seek Information in Hit and Run
Driver who allegedly struck pedestrian on Desale Street did not stop to exchange information.
Vienna Police are looking for a driver who allegedly hit a pedestrian walking along Desale Street last week, but did not stop to check on the man's well-being or exchange information.
Police say around 6:05 p.m. Jan. 9, a man was walking north on Desale Street. While he was crossing the intersection with Ross Drive, a car also traveling northbound on the street began to turn left onto Ross Drive; the driver "slammed on his brakes but was unable to avoid the pedestrian," police wrote in a report.
After the pedestrian was struck, the driver fled. The pedestrian complained of minor pain in his right leg, police say.
