Kyle Alifom, 20, a friend of a McLean teen who died last summer after a deadly mix of heroin and antihistamines, is facing federal criminal charges in her death, according to reports by The Washington Post and Fairfax County Times.

A night of partying — including shooting up heroin — turned tragic last summer when Emylee Lonczak, 16, passed out and later died; the state medical examiner ruled her death "accidental," and said she had a reaction from the mix of heroin and an over-the-counter antihistamine.

It was two weeks before school was about to begin and Emylee was going to be starting her junior year. She went out with three friends who traveled into DC, and after shooting up the heroin, Emylee passed out in the car, according to a recently unsealed affidavit filed in U.S. District Court by a Fairfax County Police detective, according to the Fairfax County Times.

Instead of seeking medical attention, the group, reportedly Emylee, Kyle and two others, drove to a home near Tyson's Corner, in the 8200 block of Madrillon Estates Dr., outside of the Town of Vienna.

It was the home of Kyle Alifom. Emylee later died at the home and Kyle hid her body outdoors, where police found it covered by a screen Alifom had placed there.

Kyle, who has a history of drug problems, is being held without bond and is considered a flight risk, according to the Fairfax County Times story. Prosecutors reportedly have until Tuesday to return an indictment.

I'm quite sure she never used marijuana or drank before venturing into heroin. There's no way decriminalization would cause situations as this. People make such sound decisions with mind-altering drugs.

Drug users such as Kyle always try to get others into using drugs. My opinion is that he basically killed the young girl.

According to The Post and other reports there was another creep that actually shot Emily with heroin. I'd like to know what actions the police are taking against him? He is equally at fault for Emily's death and should be prosecuted to fullest extent.

You people don't know anything. Before you start blaming the black person get your facts straight. The girl was a druggie just like kyle. She's done hard drugs before it wasn't like it was her 1st time.
