Town of Vienna Hires New Public Information Officer

Ken Kroski chosen among 121 candidates for the job.

Vienna has a new public information officer, beginning Monday.

Town Manager Mercury T. Payton recently announced the appointment of Ken Kroski as Vienna's new public information officer. Kroski was selected among 121 candidates.

"Ken's communications and leadership abilities, along with decades of experience working with government and private-sectors, will prove to be of great value to Vienna," said Town Manager Mercury Payton.

"His desire to be a long-term, integral part of our community adds commitment to an impressive list of accomplishments and respect from his peers and previous supervisors."  

Kroski's experience includes six years with a trade association, 13 years with Baltimore County Public Schools, and the last 13 years as a public information officer with the City of Phoenix, Ariz.

He has managed sensitive issues, performed small and large scale public outreach activities, and spoken at national communications conferences. Kroski holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Towson University.
