It will be the second term for DiRocco and Springsteen, who won the 2009 election by just two votes.

DiRocco, who earned the most votes of all candidates, said she appreciated the people who came to vote, along with the community endorsement to serve another two years.

"I'm looking forward to taking a look at our water and sewer systems, making decisions toward the Maple Avenue Vision and acclimating our new town manager," DiRocco said. "There are some big ticket items on the agenda for the next two years."

The victory is a first for Sienicki, an architect, who has lived in town for more than 10 years, and has been involved in town politics for nearly as long. She was appointed in 2003 to serve on the Windover Heights Board of Review. Sienicki joined the Planning Commission in June 2009, where she's focused on revising the town's building height code and other land use issues.

"I'm very happy that people came out to vote today, and that they gave me their support," Sienicki said shortly after she won.

Barahmand, a contractor, said his Council attempt was more about asking people to get involved with the town and know what's going on, than necessarily winning a seat.

"I want people to know what's going on. Not everyone can make it to town meetings, but they can read articles, go on the town website, learn about what's going on and how people are preparing our budgets. That was what I wanted people to know," Barahmand said. "This is our money, we're paying for everything that goes on in town. People should know about that."

Barahamand said he wasn't sure he'd run for Council again, but wouldn't rule it out. He would also consider serving on one of the Town's other committees. He wished DiRocco, Springsteen and Sienicki luck, and said that "they're the best people for this position.

"I just hope I got more people involved with town issues," he said.
