Fairfax County Animal Shelter Offers Emergency Space During Freezing Weather

If you or someone you know needs emergency housing for their pets Monday and Tuesday, contact the shelter.

Because the freezing temperatures predicted over the next few days may be deadly to pets, the Fairfax County Animal Shelter is offering temporary emergency housing for cats, dogs, and small companion animals.

If you or someone you know needs to utilize this service, contact the shelter at (703) 324-0208 or e-mail: FCPDPetResources@fairfaxcounty.gov. Please share to spread the word.

Lost & Found Dogs reminds pet owners: Frigid temperatures are expected in many areas this week. Be sure to take precautions for all your animals, put ID tags on and keep pets indoors. If you see an animal at large or left outdoors in freezing temperatures, please take immediate action and report to local authorities.
