Four Incumbents On Ballot in Tuesday Election

Mayor, Town Council seats are uncontested

Vienna's town elections Tuesday will ask residents to vote in a mayor and three town council members in an uncontested race featuring incumbents who have served for at least a decade.

Mayor Jane Seeman and town council members Laurie Cole, Edythe Kelleher and Mike Polychrones will all run for re-election May 1.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry Street, SE.

Cole and Kelleher have served on the council since 2002. Polychrones has served eight non-consecutive terms since 1996. Seeman has spent more than a decade as Mayor; before her 2000 victory, she served two full terms and a partial term on town council.

Three council seats are open each May. The Mayor, the seventh council member, is elected in even-numbered years.
