Vienna Voter Turnout Tuesday Above County Average

Voters in Vienna turned out to vote, on average, in greater numbers than across the county

Voter turnout for Tuesday's elections was higher at most Vienna precincts than it was on average across the county.

The final Fairfax County voter turnout was 32.2 percent, according to the elections office, around the percentage seen in the last two off-year elections in 2007 and 2003.

All but six Vienna area precincts had a turnout higher than that. Wolftrap had the highest voter turnout of the area, with 42.4 percent of active registered voters casting ballots. Stenwood and Thoreau were not far behind with 39.3 percent.
