Djembe Drumming and Drama

Come create your own musical tale through drama, movement, and song with Wolf Trap Teaching Artist Kofi Dennis. Children interpret fables and develop creative rhythms on their own djembe drums. Traditional African stories inspire a final performance, where children showcase drumming techniques learned in class.
Saturdays, September 24 - November 12

Recommended for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Drums are provided by the instructor. 

Registration Information 

Online registration is now available. 
By registering, you agree to our classes policy. 
During the Fall term, 8 classes will be held on Saturdays, September 24 - November 12, 2011. 
Classes are not interchangeable. 
Participants can only attend their registered class. 
Space is very limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.

Tuition: $200 per 8-week session

With your registration you will receive

• A children’s book that is used as inspiration to create the final performance.
