Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is partnering with the Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce to sponsor a job shadow program for secondary schools within the chamber’s district including Madison, Marshall, and Oakton High Schools as well as Marshall Academy.

During January and February, students will follow professionals from 23 businesses throughout their work day. Professionals in various career fields, including business management and operations, finance, medicine, culinary, information technology, aerospace science and engineering, will host the high school students.

Recently, the students participated in a mandatory job shadow orientation facilitated by the human resources department at Navy Federal Credit Union, where they learned workplace etiquette, communications and dress for success tips.
