Madison Football Cruises Over Thomas Jefferson

Thursday night win puts Warhawks at 4-2 overall, 3-0 in Liberty District

After a scoreless first quarter Thursday night, the Madison High School Warhawks found their groove and never lost it, scoring a touchdown in each of the remaining quarters to roll over Thomas Jefferson High School 21-6.

In the second quarter, quarterback Dan Powers connected with junior Tom House on a 34-yard pass for the Warhawks first touchdown. Junior Jacob Hall would run for a touchdown in both the third and fourth quarters; Nick Dorka secured the extra point on all three touchdowns.

Tom House was the leading receiver for the Warhawks, with five receptions for 70 yards. Ben Sanford and Evan Jacquez recorded three receptions each, for 36 and 29 yards respectively.

The Warhawks will play at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at home against South Lakes High School.
