Chesterbrook Academy releases 9,000 ladybugs, plants garden in nature celebration

Students at Chesterbrook Academy celebrated Earth Day by returning thousands of ladybugs to their homes.

On Friday, students released 9,000 ladybugs into the wild as part of their Earth Day Celebration. Each classroom planted flowers campus, and together with teachers, students planted a tree at the school.

Throughout the week, students learned that ladybugs feed on aphids (plant lice) and other insects that are harmful to gardens, trees and shrubs.
