Our Daily Bread is hosting its second annual “Golf Fore Good” Tournament on Monday, May 16 at South Riding Golf Club. Noon for registration and lunch with 1 p.m. shotgun start. Single players ($130) and foursomes ($500) welcome, all skill levels. Sponsorship packages starting at $300 Hole Sponsor also available. All proceeds benefit Our Daily Bread’s programs to help working families in the Fairfax County area achieve self-sufficiency. ODB also seeks raffle prizes and silent auction items.

About Our Daily Bread:
Golf Fore Good will raise crucial funds to benefit the clients and programs of Our Daily Bread. Although the economic recession has officially ended, more of our neighbors than ever now qualify for food and financial assistance – many who never expected to be in a position to need help. This month, ODB’s Food Program will provide food for 60 families, including about 130 children, with a program waiting list of more than 70 families (200 children) who will not have enough food to eat right here in affluent Fairfax County. You’ll also be hearing soon about our new “Food 4 Thought” Program, now in pilot, designed to ensure low-income school children have the meals they need over the weekend.
By playing in our golf tournament – or supporting Golf Fore Good with a financial sponsorship or auction item – you will be supporting Our Daily Bread’s efforts to give help and hope to families and children who are facing financial crises, so they can avoid homelessness.
ODB, based in Fairfax VA (Tax I.D. #52-1596259), is dedicated to helping families in need across the Fairfax County area. We provide temporary food assistance, emergency financial assistance, financial mentoring and budget classes, and holiday and school supplies assistance. Most of the people we serve are working or trying to work, but are experiencing a financial crisis due to prolonged unemployment, reduced work hours, overwhelming medical bills or other unforeseen emergency such as car repairs. Our goal is to help these families work through their crises and regain their financial footing to achieve and then maintain self-sufficiency.
