Safety Awareness Event - Safety Ambassador to W&OD and Bike Rodeo

The Town of Vienna Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) will host a bicycling and pedestrian safety awareness event and Bike Rodeo on Saturday, August 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Town Green, 144 Maple Avenue E. The event will focus on safety and education regarding the use of the W&OD multi-use trail.

The event introduces the BAC Safety Ambassador to the W&OD Program. This program provides participants with the opportunity to learn how to use the trail safely and help spread the word to ensure safe use for all.

During the safety awareness event, Trails for Youth will conduct a Bike Rodeo for children in grades three or higher. The rodeo will teach participants real life bike handling skills including braking, balancing, basic road rules and handling obstacles. This event is free and space is limited so please RSVP for the Bike Rodeo to bac@viennava.gov. Participants will receive a free bike helmet and gift bag.
