Vienna Community Garden Groundbreaking

Make your plans to see ours.

It’s a unique project where the efforts of a town, a school and local businesses come together with community members to prove that when it comes to the health and education of children, there are no party lines.

Our goal is that someday educational and edible gardens be commonplace in our country.

request your attendance to celebrate with us

as we break ground on our vision.

The garden will consist of an educational element for Vienna Elementary School students and a community garden for the Town of Vienna. Students and volunteers have begun planting seedlings and on April 23,  you can come see an antique tractor prepare the soil the way your grandparents did.

The garden is sponsored by Vienna Elementary School and the Town of Vienna and supported by Maple Avenue Market and Whole Foods of Vienna.

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

In addition to the work day, a tree planting ceremony, sponsored by the Community Enhancement Commission, will be held at 2 p.m. in recognition of Arbor Day.
