Henshaw, LeDuc, Koshuta Named To All-District List

Kerrigan picks up honorable mention in girls basketball list

Three Madison Warhawks earned First Team All-Liberty District basketball honors this past weekend. 

Feshman forward Kelly Koshuta and junior guards Megan Henshaw and Megan LeDuc were selected to the list by coaches around the district.  Sophomore guard Katie Kerrigan received Honorable Mention and was named to the All-Defensive Team.

Koshuta was a dominant force down low, averaging a District-leading 19 points a game. She also averaged 10.6 rebounds and blocked 28 shots. Sharp-shooting Megan Henshaw led the district in 3-pointers with 48, while averaging 15.6 points and 3 assists a game. Megan LeDuc was the consummate floor general for the Warhawks, averaging 9.4 points, 6.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds.  Katie Kerrigan led the Warhawks in steals with 41, while averaging 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds.

The Warhawks enter the Liberty District tournament tonight as the top seed. They face Thomas Jefferson High School in the district quarterfinals at 7 p.m. at Madison High School.
