Victory over Centreville/Fairfax puts Madison in good position for playoffs.

By Tom Dressler and Erica R. Hendry

The Warhawks scored early and often last week in a 5-1 victory over Centreville/Fairfax, jumping to a 4-0 lead after one period on two goals by sophomore Dylan Cass and one each by senior Jacob Hall and junior Ben Headley.

The Warkhawks gave up a goal early in the second period, but quickly earned a power play opportunity on which Cass netted another goal for a hat trick off a sweet feed in the slot by Headley.

The Warhawks then shut down any thoughts of a comeback by Centreville/Fairfax by clamping down on defense.

Sophomore goalie Andrew Herrmann continued with his stellar play in net by making 23 saves and giving up only 1 goal.
