Madison Defeats Battlefield, 17-4

A strong Warhawk defense, along with superb goalie play by Taylor Rivera-Silva sealed, off Battlefield scoring opportunities throughout their game against James Madison High School on Tuesday.  Defenders Katherine Hahne, Savannah Bentley and Molly Webb all had outstanding games -- frustrating Battlefield and setting up  scoring opportunities for Madison.

Madison played clean and patient offense, connecting with cutters who found the net. Senior Allison Hahn and Sophomore Carly Frederick led the Warhawk's scoring 4 goals a piece.  Hahn had 2 assists and Frederick had one.  Katie Kerrigan scored three goals and contributed an assist.  Alex Condon and Melissa Kellan had two goals.  Megan Bisson and Savannah Bentley each scored one goal.  Brie Hayden had two assists and Kellan and Sam Babbit also added an assist.

The Warhawk's play Fairfax at 7:15 p.m. tonight at home.
