Madison Girls Lacrosse Still Undefeated

Marshall High School notches a trio of victories

The extend their undefeated record on Thursday with a 21-2 victory over Fairfax.

The Warhawks are now 5-0 overall, and 3-0 in district play.

Hosting the Rebels on their home turf, the Warhawks got on the board quickly and built a steady lead during the first half of play. Madison stayed consistent and strong during the second half, where the team patiently worked their offense while maintaining an effective defensive presence.

Eleven players scored for the Warhawks, with Madison Renshaw and Katie Kerrigan each contributing four goals. Melissa Kellan and Allison Hahn led assists with two a piece.  Goalie Taylor Rivera-Silva had five saves.  Hahn, Dana Beden, Savannah Bentley and Carly Frederick each scored two goals for the Warhawks.   Kellan, Annie Tracz, Julia Kehoe, Alex Condon and Megan Bisson contributed a goal. Pitching in with one assist were Kerrigan, Sam Babbitt, and Tracz.

The team's next game is at home against McLean at 7:15 p.m. April 12.

Other scores:

won 3-1 against Thomas Jefferson High School on Friday. Hotaka Shiomi, Dylan Goodale and Keyon Kalilian scored goals for the Statesmen.

Marshall Boys Varsity Lacrosse won 13-11 against McLean High on Thursday.

Marshall Girls Varsity Lacrosse won 17-12 against McLean High School on Thursday.
