Madison High Hosts Signing Ceremony for Rowers

"Their dedication to crew, their teammates and the overall success of the club is why they were selected as captains for the 2013 season," Coach Paul Allbright said.

James Madison High School hosted a National Letter of Intent signing ceremony Friday for three rowers committed to row Division 1 Crew.

Those students and the schools where they will be rowing are: 

  • Zoe Kalousis (San Diego State University)
  • Carolina Ratcliff (Syracuse University) 
  • Grace Williams (Duke University)  

These young ladies will be four-year varsity rowers for James Madison High School Crew and are three returning rowers from James Madison Crew W1V8 – last season's Virginia state champions, Stotesbury Cup Champions and SRAA National Champions.

Madison Crew Coach Paul Allbright summarized by stating: “Their dedication to crew, their teammates and the overall success of the club is why they were selected as captains for the 2013 season. I look forward to the start of winter training and another fantastic season of racing.”
