At the St. Andrews Invitational in Delaware, Madison rowers faced an elite group of rowers featuring some of the fastest teams from Northern Virginia (Yorktown, TJ, and Walt Whitman) and top prep schools, Kent (CT) and St. Andrews (DE).   The Women’s 1st Varsity Eight finished in second place behind the Kent school but several seconds ahead of 3rd place finisher St. Andrews.  In an extremely tight race, the Women’s Second Varsity Eight placed second, just over a second behind the Kent School.  The Women’s 3rd Varsity eight finished a solid sixth place, with only a second separating them and  5th place finisher Yorktown.  The freshmen boats performed particularly well with the Women’s Freshman Eight finishing  first in both their races.

The Men’s 1st Varsity eight rowed to a third place finish just behind Thomas Jefferson, while the 2nd and 3rd Men’s Varsity eights both finished in 5th place.   The Men’s Freshmen Eight also rowed  to a third place finish ahead of Yorktown.
