Marshall Girls Lacrosse vs Yorktown 15-6

Marshall Girls Lacrosse went into Tuesday's match with a bit of a grudge -- Yorktown knocked the Statesmen out of the second round of districts last year by 1 point. They came out of the gate firing, ultimately winning by 11 points.

Madison Girls Lacrosse Trounces Mt. Vernon, 26-1

Madison Softball Suffers First Lost Against Stone Bridge

The Warhawks traveled to Stone Bridge on Tuesday to take on the Bulldogs and fell by a score of 4-1.  All four of the Bulldog runs were unearned.  Madison had plenty of chances to score, leaving 10 runners on base, but couldn't get the timely hit to push them across.

Ally Grasso led the offense going 3 for 3 with a single, double and a triple.  Her double was a towering shot to left that traveled about 215 feet - which unfortunately fell 10 feet short of Stone Bridge's 225 foot fence.  Grasso also drove in Madison's lone run on the night with her triple down the line in left.

EmJ Fogel continued her hot hitting by going 2 for 4 with a single and a double.  Mary Bolinger, Sam Brady, and Elizabeth Fallas contributed the Warhawks other hits on the night.

Brady again did a great job on the mound, scattering eight hits - all singles - walking one, and striking out four.  Untimely errors led to the four runs scored by Stone Bridge.
