Marshall Wrestling Wins Slam Duals
Squad continues undefeated season with a sweep at Saturday tournament
Marshall High School's wrestling squad continued to roll over the area's other teams on Saturday, winning all of its matches in the 2012 Growing Earth Spartan Slam Duals to earn the tournament's championship.
The tournament, at Broad Run High School in Ashburn, attracted a total of 12 teams from across the state. Marshall won all four of its dual matches before defeating Skyline High School 33-27 in the championship.
The win moves Marshall to 16-0 on the season. The team will take on Langley High School at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall High School.
