NFL Playoffs: Where to Watch, TV Schedule, Lines

The Washington Redskins face the Seattle Seahawks this weekend in one of four NFL wildcard games.

The Washington Redskins have spent since 2007 traveling the road back to the NFL playoffs -- but it's been a heck of a ride. Next stop: Sunday's wildcard game against the Seattle Seahawks.

All this hailing to the Redskins should seem familiar. In 2007, the Redskins also made the 2007 NFL playoffs as a wildcard team. And, just like this year, that 2007 playoff game was against the Seattle Seahawks.

Let's hope the similarities end there, because the Seahawks won the last time around. That game, though was in Seattle. Sunday, the Redskins are at home for the first time in the NFL playoffs since they beat the Detroit Lions in 1999.

If you're not so lucky, here are some local bars or restaurants in the Vienna/Oakton/Tysons corridor likely to carry the game -- some of them are the same recommendations we've made in the past for where to watch the Superbowl:

1. Vienna Inn
120 Maple Ave E, Vienna

Why: Four words: world famous chili dogs. Plenty of food, beer and spirited company to carry you through the game. Plus, they've been in town for more than 50 years, so they have plenty of game day experience under their belt.

2. Neighbor's Restaurant
262 Cedar Ln, Vienna

Why: With big screen TVs and ample seating in three separate dining areas, you'll probably be able to see the game for most of the night.

3.O'Malleys Sports Pub
1960 Chain Bridge Road, McLean

Why:  O’Malleys boasts flat screen TV’s around the bar and in the booths, and food and drink specials.

4. Glory Days Grill
3059 Nutley Street, Fairfax

Why: Just a hop and a skip away from the Vienna Metro, this is one of the few area hangouts that bills itself just as a sports bar. Plus, they call their manager the "Coach."
