South Lakes vs TJ Field Hockey Wins Game of the Week

Friday faceoff wins Patch's weekly poll

South Lakes and Thomas Jefferson High School fans bolstered their field hockey teams this week, helping the Friday faceoff win Patch's  "Game of the Week" poll for the Liberty District.

The matchup earned 33 percent of the votes in this week's poll, beating out another field hockey match between Madison and McLean High Schools, a volleyball game between Marshall and Stone Bridge, and a Cross Country quad meet between Fairfax, Marshall, Madison and Langley High Schools.

The Seahawks are 10-4 so far on the season (before Monday night's game). They've yet to face Thomas Jefferson, which is 6-6-2.

The game will be featured on Patch later this week.
