Aside from a loss to Westfield, N.J. in pre-season play, the Warhawks are 8-0  in the 2013 season — a start that mirrors the one they had in 2011, when the team rounded out a 22-0 season with a Virginia State Championship.

Last year, the team fell earlier on to Oakton — the ultimate state champs.

The Warhawks play Fairfax on Thursday, but their biggest challenge is yet to come against Stone Bridge, which is 4-1 and ranked No. 6 in the state. Madison is currently ranked No. 4.
