Weather: Fireworks Forecast

Fourth of July forecast includes high of 95 degrees, possible thunderstorms.

Temperatures in Vienna will hit 95 degrees on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, as thunderstorms -- some of them described as severe -- threaten to delay or postpone area firework shows.

"Hazy, hot and humid" is how the Capital Weather Gang describes expected weather on the July 4th holiday. The combination of heat and humidity will create a heat index in excess of 100 degrees, the NWS report stated.

There is a 40 percent chance of afternoon or evening thunderstorms. Some of the storms may be severe, according to the NWS.
