It's official: The Walmart in Tysons Corner will open  Aug. 14.

A spokesman for Tysons West, the development that will house the Walmart location, confirmed the date with Patch on Thursday. The date is in line with the previous timeline to open the store by September 2013.

The new location, which lies off of Westwood Center Drive and near the new Spring Hill Metro station on the Silver Line, is still hiring.

Walmart will bring about 200 positions to the 79,000-square-foot-store, which is part of developer JBG Rosenfeld Retail’s mixed-use development project. Noodles and Company will also be opening a location in the shopping center.

Applications are being accepted between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and appointment on Saturday at the hiring center at 8603 Westwood Center Drive, suite 200, across the street from the new location.

Plans for a Walmart grand opening are underway.
