Lifetime Leadership - not your parent's retirement!

At the new Leadership Fairfax/Volunteer Fairfax program, Lifetime Leadership, we know that leadership looks great no matter the age!

What does leadership look like?  Well, at the new Leadership Fairfax/Volunteer Fairfax program, Lifetime Leadership, we know that leadership looks great no matter the age!  Lifetime Leadership is a new program offering leadership development and community knowledge opportunities for Fairfax County residents who have completed their first career and are looking for ways to be most productive in their “encore career.”  And, trust me, this doesn’t look anything like their parents' retirement!

Whether it’s just getting a grasp on transitioning to retirement, launching a second career, becoming an entrepreneur, gaining insights into the workings of the local government, or becoming a high-impact volunteer, Lifetime Leadership participants will glean the latest from academics, nonprofits, and government officials on how to become the person they want to be at this exciting time in their lives. As one participant noted, this is the ideal venue for exploring the time between the “no longer and the not yet.”

The five-part series runs through November 2012, and a 2013 class will be offered  in the spring.  For more information about this innovative program, contact Susan Sanow at Volunteer Fairfax or Moniek Janczewski at Leadership Fairfax.  Embark on a lifetime adventure of self-discovery and community involvement, and make a difference!
