Photo Of The Day: A Tree For Jack

Neighbors, friends set up tribute to 12-year-old boy who drowned in September.

Sunday was the first Christmas friends and families of Jack Donaldson spent without the 12-year-old boy scout and baseball player, who died in September after he was near his home.

But community members are making sure Jack's spirit stays alive through the holidays, keeping blue ribbons hanging off lampposts, mailboxes and neighborhood signs.

This month, they set up a Christmas tree near the creek he went missing. It's decorated next to a cross, draped with a blue ribbon. A small brown teddy wearing a sweater is nestled nearby.
