Photos: Vienna's Annual Cleanup Day
Volunteers take to town parks and streets in annual beautification effort
More than 150 volunteers spent Saturday morning in the parks and along the creeks of Vienna, removing debris and beautifying parts of town in need of a facelift for the town's Annual Cleanup Day.
Saturday marked the ninth year school groups, local organizations, individuals and families pitched in for the town-wide cleanup, said Parks and Recreation Director Cathy Salgado.The cleanup was sponsored by the town's Community Enhancement Commission.
This year, groups from Marshall Road Elementary and Green Hedges Schools, among others, cleaned , , and Petersen Lane Parks, in addition to other areas of town.
