Win a Date with Your Favorite Firefighter at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department Auction

Have you ever wanted to meet the brave men and women that help protect Vienna? Well, now's your chance! The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a live and silent auction Friday at the Second Annual VVFD Fire Ball Auction.

Organizers hope to raise $10,000 this year; last year, the first annual auction, they raised $5,600.

Admission to the event, which begins at 7 p.m., is free and the attire is casual. The event will include a cash bar and light snacks. It will be held at the firehouse, which is located at 400 Center St. South in Vienna.

Bidding will start at $40 for your chance to win a date with your favorite firefighter or EMT. The highest bidders will win a VIP tour of the fire house, followed by dinner and drinks at Westwood Country Club, which will all take place Saturday night.

Silent auction items include a wine class for eight at Oakton Wine Shop, a week long RCI timeshare (available for booking through December 2015), a private dance lesson from Elegant Dancing, two canvas prints from PostNet Vienna, some gorgeous jewelry, and much, much more.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase throughout the auction. Raffle tickets, priced at $5 each, will also be sold for chances to win gift cards to many local favorites such as Blackfinn Ameripub, Norm's Beer and Wine and more.
