Week Ahead: Caroling on the Green, Vienna Arts Society + 'Good Night, Sleep Tight'

Welcome to the week before Christmas! Here's a look at a few happenings this week in and around Vienna:

Monday

Jammin' Java is the place to be Monday night to hear Alex Aiona + The Baby Grand + Kayte Grace. For more information on each artist, ticket prices and more visit Jammin' Java.

Stories and songs are on tap for "Good Night, Sleep Tight" story time at Patrick Henry Library in Vienna at 7 p.m. Geared to preschool, all ages. Wear your PJs!

Tickets go on sale starting Monday for "This," the Vienna Theatre Company’s winter production at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry Street SE. Performances begin Friday, Jan. 24. “This” is a bright, tart and melancholy comedy that captures the uncertain steps of a circle of friends entering the choppy waters of middle age. “This” is by Melissa James Gibson and directed by Tom Flatt.

Wednesday

Be sure to make time for Caroling on the Town Green, starting at 6:30 p.m. at 144 Maple Avenue E. Residents of all ages are invited to come and sing some of their favorite holiday songs.


Thursday

Looking for unique holiday gifts? Stop by the Vienna Arts Society Holiday Gift Emporium and Reception, 115 Pleasant St. NW from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Smashburger opens in the Vienna area at 1500-E Cornerside Blvd. offering hamburgers, salads, and more.
