If your child is into music and is ready to commit to a band, this is the place. The kids get to chose the type of music they like to play instead of being assigned a genre; they stay together as a band so really get to know eachother, and wow, do they sound good! Pat does a great job coaching/teaching his students. He also has great contacts and uses them to expose students to rock/metal/etc stars and to arrange some pretty cool gigs!

This program is out of this world. As a fan you will be amazed with the performance level of these young people. As a parent you will be delighted by the leaps and bounds at which your child progresses. Add to this the infectuous energy, commitment level and demanding nature of the program and your child has nothing to do but buck up and take on the challenge. Pat Sommers leads these kids with a guru like quality, always demanding perfection. And these kids want to please him. Add to that the family nature of the group of kids themselves, working together, helping each other and pushing everyone to bring it and you've got a recipe for greatness!!! I would highly reccommend this program, I know its difficult to get in but it's worth the effort. Kudos!!!

As a lover of rock music, I think this place is great. I'm a "student" here, and I love it so much here. It's like a second home. It's also a studio that other bands, including my own come in and rehearse in. I love Pat who owns the place, and he is one of the coolest people you could ever meet. If you want to be in a band, and get better at an instrument, join Rockshop. Pat also does lessons outside of Rockshop.
