The oldest continually operating school in Fairfax County, Vienna Elementary School is located in center of the town of Vienna. It offers programs for preschool, kindergarten and grades one through six.
There are a number of academic programs supported at the school, including special education programs, mentor coach services, and the Valiant Viking Character Education program. Students enrolled in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) speak more than 20 different languages.
The school's Parent Teacher Association is active and supports many programs for students, such as chess club, foreign languages and athletic activities.
The school has also received the Board of Education Excellence Award from the Virginia State Board of Education.
