Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts was founded in 1966 through a land and monetary donation by Catherine Filene Shrouse. Wolf Trap is comprised of the Filene Center, an amphitheater that holds 7,000 people, and The Barns, which serve as a theater and reception area. There are about 100 performances held at the Filene Center during the summer months, and The Barns hosts performances throughout the winter. Hosted events represent a wide range of artistic and cultural mediums, including live music, opera, dance, theater and educational programs. Visit the Wolf Trap website for a detailed calendar of events or to purchase tickets.
