Holton Brings Kaine Campaign to Vienna Home

Wife of Tim Kaine stumps for her husband, kicks off canvassing

Anne Holton dropped by the home of a Vienna resident to rev up volunteers and kick off a canvassing campaign for her husband's U.S. Senate run. Holton's stop at the home of Bettina Lawton on Riviera Drive started a day of campaigning in Northern Virginia, during which she visited the Annandale Fall Festival and a campaign office in Alexandria.  "It is wonderful to see so many of you out here ready to knock on doors and talk to voters in your community about what is at stake in this race," said Holton, the wife of U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine (D). "We need more leaders like Tim in the Senate who know how to put partisanship aside and work together to break through the Washington gridlock to create more economic opportunities for all …

Holton Kicks Off Canvassing in Oakton Area

Anne Holton, wife of U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine, visits Oakton campaign office Saturday.

Anne Holton visited with Democratic volunteers at her husband's Oakton campaign office Saturday, encouraging them to keep up their hard work canvassing nearby neighborhoods and calling registered voters. Holton, wife of U.S. Senate hopeful and former Gov. Tim Kaine (D), stopped in Oakton for the first time in this campaign about a month after Kaine himself visited the volunteers at the same office in Hunter Mill Plaza. She applauded the volunteers' efforts, saying their work at the grassroots level is the answer to the other side's Super PACs. "Wouldn't it be fun to show those folks who think that if you just write more zeroes on their checks they can determine what happens on Election Day ... that they're wrong?" Holton said. "The best …

All in the Family: Anne Holton Campaigns for Husband Tim Kaine

Both a daughter and wife of Virginia governors, Holton embarked on a listening tour of Northern Virginia on Saturday in support of her husband's candidacy for the U.S Senate.

Former Virginia first lady Anne Holton is going full speed ahead campaigning for husband Tim Kaine, the former governor who hopes to get elected to the U.S. Senate come November. Most polls show a race between Democrat Kaine and probable GOP candidate George Allen as "neck and neck" as Holton herself put it Saturday. Married more than 25 years, Holton and Kaine first met when both were students at Harvard Law School. Today Anne is a wife, mother and lawyer, and a campaigner, a role she said she will increase as the election nears. She traveled to Northern Virginia Saturday from her family's home in Richmond, making stops in Leesburg, Vienna and Reston. In Vienna, Holton criss-crossed the town on a blustery spring day, visiting owners and …
