UPDATE: Two Dogs Saved in Hunter View Road Fire
Nobody injured in Tuesday night fire that began in kitchen; damage is estimated at $20,000.
Update 9:43 p.m.: A Tuesday fire on Hunter View Road began in the kitchen of a single-family home after food was left on the stove, fire officials said later in the evening. Deputy Chief Michael T. Reilly told Patch damage to the home is valued at $20,000. Two residents, who returned home after the fire, are currently renting the home, Reilly said. They'll be displaced and — along with their dogs — will be staying with friends. In an email to Patch late Tuesday, neighbor Josh Laney said his brother William Laney, a 16-year-old life scout, first noticed the fire after coming home from dropping him off at boy scouts.
