Temps Could Climb Above 100 Friday, Saturday
The heat will be dangerous, but may not be record-breaking.
The high temperature Friday and Saturday will likely exceed 100 again in Vienna, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Under mostly sunny skies, it will reach 99 degrees Friday; on Saturday, temperatures could reach 103 with a mix of clouds and sun. The heat index both days will be above 105 degrees. Amazingly, the high temperatures on Friday may not break records. The record high at Washington Reagan National Airport for July 6 (Friday) is 103, set in 1999. The record high for July 7 (Saturday) is 102, set in 2010.
