I first explored my love for local news as a 15-year-old cub reporter interning at my hometown's weekly newspaper.  After college, I embarked on a rewarding career in community journalism. My writing covered topics as varied as municipal government, environmental and economic issues and community life. From November 2005 to June 2008, I served as editor of a weekly newspaper in Newark, Del. My husband and I moved to Northern Virginia in August 2009 and our daughter, Annie (my fulltime job!), was born two months later. You may see her on-assignment with me!
