I'm a teacher, former lawyer and current Fairfax County School Board member from the Hunter Mill District. The Hunter Mill District includes all of Reston, most of Vienna and some neighborhoods on the south side of Herndon. My term on the school board runs from January 2012 to December 2015.

I have two children who are recent graduates of Madison High School in Vienna. They are both away at college. I have taught elementary school in Vienna, Annandale and Reston for the last nine years, resigning in December 2011 to take my position on the school board.

I have served as PTA president at Louise Archer in Vienna, Malcolm-Windover Heights Civic Association president, the president of F.B. Meekins Cooperative Preschool in Vienna and a founding member of the Vienna Teen Center Foundation.

I enjoy the trails and lakes of Reston, the small-town feel of Vienna and Herndon and all the friendly people I meet in Hunter Mill!
